FOSDA has joined the West African Research Network on Organised Crime (WARNOC). The Network is newly established by ECOWAS as part of the Organised Crime: West African Response to Trafficking (OCWAR- T) project jointly funded by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Foreign Office (AA).
WARNOC is a regional network of researchers from civil society, civil society organization and academic institutions created to contribute to the response to organised crime in the ECOWAS region. Specifically, the network will provide a platform for members to:
1. Collaborate with ENACT on research and publications on Trans-national Organised Crime in West Africa.
2. Partake in sponsored capacity building programmes on research, analysis and shaping policy
3. Engage in multi-stakeholder dialogues and events on TOC in West Africa.
4. Build strategic and sustainable relationships with ECOWAS and partner organisations within the network
WARNOC held its first capacity building workshop for its members from 15th - 16 March to enhance the capacity of its members on transnational organized crime.
As a member of WARNOC, FOSDA will work in partnership with other members in the network to promote a deeper understanding of the phenomenon of Organized Crime across West Africa and
