FOSDA Participates in Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) Training of Trainers (TOT) for West Africa.
The TOT is being held in Accra from May 5th to May 9th. It is organised by the ATT Secretariat based in Geneva.
The objective of the TOT
The concept of FOSDA originated from a group of Africans in the diaspora passionate about the security and development of the their continent. Their pre-occupation was to change the African narrative in relation to peace and security, at a time when Africa was in the news for mostly negative reasons including war and conflicts.
The group consisted of Africans from various countries including Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, South Africa, Kenya among others. Most of them were exiled from their respective countries for typically political reasons.

The Ghana Youth Manifesto project for the 2024 elections and beyond is a youth led initiative with the support of youth focused civil society organization. It is a five-phase process grounded in collaboration, engagement, and unwavering commitment to amplifying the voices of young Ghanaians. The initiative seeks to, among other things, influence the political parties’ manifestos and ensure that the needs, hopes and aspiration of young Ghanaians are captured in the manifestos of political parties in Ghana as we approach the 2024 General elections.
